...to all my fellow Canadian players! I know tomorrow is technically turkey day, but most everyone I know celebrates today. Personally, I think the only reason it's labeled tomorrow is so that we can get a stat holiday and a long weekend. Mwahaha.

Eat well, and be thankful!

So Canadians consume turkey on Thanksgiving as we Yanks do? I must confess I possess an embarrasingly small amount of knowledge on the origins and practices of the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday.

Actually, we just call it "turkey day" in a gentle mocking of our cousins to the south.

The traditional Canadian Thanksgiving meal is a 12 pack of Tim Horton's doughnuts (or more, depending on the size of your family) followed by the poutine course, followed by a cup of warm beaver nog. Then all the children dress up as the Queen of England and go from door to collecting the left-over doughnuts with cries of "a bearclaw for Queenie!", then in my famiily we all bundle up in our toques and mucklucks and go around the nieghbourhood singing Thanksgiving day carols.

LOL Oh that's classic!

For my family the tradition is to go over to my Aunt and Uncle's mansion and pig out on thier awesome food. This year they had three turkeys, one was baked, one was deep fried, and one was smoked!

There was also a giant ham, and all sorts of tasty stuff. The potatos were good but I like my mom's potatos more.

Oh yeah I should probably mention, my aunt and uncle are probably the only people I know who have two kitchens.
