Can i see who is tracking me down??

i wonder if there is a way i can see im being tracked..when ppl can see where i am, i would like to know who is tracking me

is there a way to know?

Probably not, but there dam sure should be, and a way to prove it!!
Internet stalking is illegal. In game stalking should be at least against TOS, if not illegal also. I'm really new, but already I've heard from several people, male and female charactors, who've had stalker problems.

Maybe this should go in suggestions?

I think Jayson is referring to the game feature that enables us to locate any member in world for whom we have a calling card. This is a SL feature so we can locate friends and, although it probably could be abused by a stalker in world, why would you trade a calling card to a stalker?

There is no way to determine who has you on red beacon or who is using your card to locate your position in world. If you don't want to be tracked in world then do not trade any calling cards.

You cannot be tracked by anyone unless they have your calling card.

Its not that big a deal. I dont want to be notified everytime someone looks at my profile or tracks me on the map, I mean, who cares? If someone is stalking you or creeping you out, cancel their card, mute them, and forget about them.

i know i can cancel calling card..i just think that if someone is able to see where i am i should be able to see whose looking..thats all...just a thought i had...wondered if there was a way...guess not :/

Jayson, I did not mean to be rude, my apologies. I was looking at it too narrowly from my point of view. I usually have enough going on and really dont desire the ability to know who has been looking for me.

Im sure a lot of people might like to have that information. It would not hurt to add it to the feature suggestion forum and try to get some support for it.

Try looking at this from the angle of an added feature, that is, the ability to track your friends. It might give some insight as to why it can seem so difficult to get features added. Someone always seems to find some reason to object to it. In this case, "It be nice to be able to keep track of my friends" meets "I don't like the feeling that someone is watching me" contigent. The ability to control who has this privelege was meant to meet this concern. Something I just thought of though, if someone were a problem for you, wouldn't you want to know where that person is? Of course, they've probably don't want you to know that and have already cancelled your calling card.
Just some varying points of view to consider here.

Cancelling the calling card is probably the best option; otherwise, I usually wear a radar script, so I get advanced warning when someone is coming nearby.
