As we all know, the Boy Scouts of America doesn't like gays. So much so that if you're gay, you can't be in the Boy Scouts. Cause gays are bad or something, M'kay? There's black boy scouts? What Black person in their right mind would let thier child join the boy scouts? I never trusted the boy scouts. A friend of mine brought me to a boy scout meeing once as a kid. I felt like they were trying to brainwash me. We should keep our eyes on these so called "boy scouts". What are they scouting? And who are they scouting for?

What were we talking about? Oh yes, Boy Scouts!
For a brief shining moment in the late sixties or early seventies, the Boy Scouts became Scouting USA and appeared to be moving towards a more inclusive and tolerent future for the youth of America. For one thing, it seemed for a time that it would be a more dynamic environment for young women than the well-meaning but rather anemic Girl Scouts.
But as it stands now, I wouldn't let my boys be scouts (if I had any). I'd try to find or create an organization that would be a little more, well, trustworthy.
