Ok I'll be in Daytona Saturday the 12th. Maybe we can setup a meeting place outside of Daytona as you know, it will be impossible to find anyone in Daytona.

Ok I'm heading out in the early a.m. and will arrive in Florida around 2-3 pm est. I will be staying with family in Palatka. Post here if you will be accessible within the general Jacksonville, Daytona, Gainesville general area.

Dude, PALATKA!! There is a grind-core band out of Florida called "Palatka"--- they named their band as such because they say that it's the scariest city that they have ever been to. I have never visited, but always wondered. What is it like, Leck?

It is the essence of podunk redneckville. My father ended up there with a job in law enforcement and much to my chagrin he retired there. On the up side though, it is only one hour away from Jacksonville, 30 minutes from ST. Augustine, only about 45 minutes from Daytona so is a good launching point for me when I am home visiting.

OMG I spent 10 years of my life in Florida - I remember heading out of Orlando at like 12midnight for a frat party in Gainesville - by the time we got there we finished off a 10 gal jug of wine!! Ahhh the memories - or lack thereof. Bike week rules!!!! Went oh....9 times!!!! WOOOT have fun! Wish I could go *sighs*

Cops Can't Arrest Bare-Breasted Women At Bike Week
Agreement With City Will Shield Women

POSTED: 6:25 pm EST March 9, 2005

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Several women will be going topless at a rally in Daytona Beach Sunday, and an agreement with the city will keep cops from arresting them.

Elizabeth Book has been squabbling with the city over her right to go topless during Bike Week.

An attorney for Book and a city attorney signed a memorandum of understanding last month that allows her to be topless at the rally on the last day of the rally.

The agreement stipulates that she and other topless female protesters must use a flatbed truck covered with a six-foot tarp to shield them from people who don't want to see their bare breasts.

The agreement also prohibits city police officers from arresting the women.

Book has said it is unfair that only men are allowed to go topless in public places and that women are fined for flashing their breasts at events like Bike Week, the annual gathering of hundreds of thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts.

This is probably one of the last really big Bike Weeks, the way they are turning the hotels into condos and million dollar homes. I can barely sleep at night this year, it's so damn noisy - and I'm in Ormond Beach.
