I had this dream last night that I got a giant tattoo of the second life hand on my forehead, and the Lindens gave me a lifetime account plus a little cost free land.  Now, I'm obviously not getting that (or anything else) tattooed on my forehead, but I do love what SL stands for and is about, and that hand design is pretty nice looking. If I did get this tattoo (and possibly sold my soul as part of being a walking billboard), what do you think my chances are for the Lindens to help out with my SL expenses?

A little less than zero.  The company Acclaim did this with customers... it was a marketing catastrophe. LF

They actually told people to put acclaim tattoos on themselves?

They offered cash and free games if people would tattoo some game's title on their foreheads for a year or something.
Everybody except Acclaim saw it as a terrible idea.
This was the same company that was willing to pay $10,000 US for someone who was willing to put a game advertisement on their TOMBSTONE.

It's worked in the skateboarding industry as well, but thats a whole different world than this. I.E. a skateboard logo actually looks cool.

I'd think twice about forehead tatoos. I read somewhere that gang tatoos on ones forehead indicates that this person killed someone. Do you really want to tell the world you killed someone for Second Life?
