Is there an animated texture template? I was going to create a lightning bolt looking animated texture but I dont know how to set it up, like how the flame texture template is.

You don't really need a template Kyle. Texture animation works with a grid system. Just set up your frames in a tile pattern. You don't need a specific number of rows or columns. Just be sure all the frames are the same size.

for example if you wanted your animation to have 12 frames you can make the texture in your paint program of choice by starting with a 600x600 texture and dividing it into 3 rows and 3 columns of 200x200 frames. Then scale the texture down to 512x512.

Your script would look something like this...

------------------------------------------------------------------
default
{
state_entry()
{
llSetTextureAnim (ANIM_ON | LOOP, ALL_SIDES, 3, 3, 0, 0, 10.0);
}
}
--------------------------------------------------------------------
llSetTextureAnim(integer mode, integer face, integer sizex, integer sizey, float start, float length, float rate);

The sizex and sizey describe the layout of the frames within the texture. sizex specifies how many horizontal frames and sizey is how many vertical frames

An easy(er) way to do this (taught to me by Shebang Sunshine) is to save all your fames to seperate files and make a little HTML file:
<table border=0>
<tr>
<td><img src="1.png"></td>
<td><img src="2.png"></td>
<td><img src="3.png"></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><img src="4.png"></td>
<td><img src="5.png"></td>
<td><img src="6.png"></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><img src="7.png"></td>
<td><img src="8.png"></td>
<td><img src="9.png"></td>
</tr>
</table>

load this up in your web browser and alt-print screen to capture the window to the clipboard.
