Hi, everyone!

I am planning a fashion show, and want to add some more items to my collection for the event. What items (lingerie, menswear, shoes, jewelry, ect) would you like to see more of in SL?
I look forward to hearing everyone's suggestions. :)

If you would like to check out my shops, they are located in
Hawthorne 205/80 and Kissling 146/127

I bet this opinion isn't really popular, but like in my FL, I absolutely hate brand name clothing. If you make new clothes for SL, if the tags can be torn off (heh, aka, if you could render them as generic), I'd be dying to buy some clothes for Dae. Something charming-like and not too flashy. Again, I don't like the brand-name "look at me look at me!" or "i'm a walking advertisement!" style of clothes.

It's late. Perhaps I should put my pickiness away and just put a request for a custom outfit in. :P

Dae,
Could you name some rl designers or stores that carry the kind of clothing you would like to see in SL? That would be very helpful. :)

dae,
Let me rephrase that last question. Can you give any examples of FL designers/stores that do a good job of not overbranding thier clothing, yet still has items you like? Alternately, if you can think of designers whose stuff you would like if logo feces were not smeared across it, that would be good too. :D

It's not that I don't -wear- brand name clothing ever... it's just, I'll ONLY wear it if there aren't any visible logos.

In my FL, I literally own 5 pairs of the same outfit, so I look like a cartoon character. Every 9 months or so I'll switch the outfit. If I have money saved up for it, I like to go to Gatsby, because most of their clothing does not have logos on them at all, and most of their "brand names" are really obscure so I don't feel like I'm contributing to sweat shops (aka Gap aka Abercrombie etc. etc.). I like their more casual clothing; some of their store deals primarily with tuxes and things like that, though.

But I also think it'd be neat if there were clothing that was absolutely bizarre and sort of non-FL entirely. I think I'd wear clothing that mix-matches different styles of wears--for /example/, one sleeve checker-board, the other sleeve really short, the body of the shirt a solid color. That's totally just an example, I'm not asking for that at all... but wouldn't it be cool if we had a new fashion sense in this game? :D If not, then that's okay, too. ;) Whatever's economical--I'd understand, regardless.

Nephilaine. We need to see more short shorts. So far I own 2 sets of shorts one called "boyshorts" and the other are "jean shorts". We need low riding short shorts in varying primary colors as well as PINK :)

A white/black version of the Flame Boot would be nice as would a red boot w/white flames. The GoGo and Flame boots are my current favorite.

Oh, i'd pay extra for a custom Pink boot w/white flames just for me too.

In fact, i would pay extra for a set of flame boots to match each "Vinyl Corset" you have (Blue, Black, Red, Green), these are really beautiful pieces and I wear them to death.

I have all the garters, perhaps another red garter without the print or a white/red garter with a red that matches the open back red top. If it was like the Zebra striped/Pink garter (Yes, love that of course), but red/white that would go well with the Red Vinyl Corset.

I can go on for days, but its mostly stuff *i* want. I don't see many change outfits as often as I do, but I guess thats because im only a month old? Anywho...

If you need a fashion model, please ring me. Im not asking because i want free clothes. I'll gladly buy the stuff I like first to model. I own... all your boots.. all your garters.. all the Rasputin except for the soft pink looking one (not sure if that soft color is too light for my skin tone), several of your tops.

Oh, and the Emerald Bikini's do not need fixing :) Im pretty sure the garters do, but I have been busy working on my gallery (called MOXIE) and unable to check.

Where will the show be held?

I have a huge open open area with columns on the water in Federal (looks like the Parthenon a little with a side structure). I'd gladly give you run of the space at no charge.

Ok this has been a very long message i think :p

Nephilaine, I would appreciate more men's clothing. The fashion landscape for women is wide open but for men the choices are much more limited. Of course, this mirror the real world but this is my wish list so let me dream. :)

I'm looking for something beyond t-shirts, open collar dress shirts with loosened tie, bowling shirts, that kind of thing. Kenneth Cole rather than The Gap.

thank you so much for the excellent suggestions, everyone!
please keep them coming, they really have been extremely enlightening.
Usually with my clothing I create usually only things i would wear myself, which naturally leaves the menswear section rather slim. I have heard MANY times that there is little range of menswear in SL, and I intend to correct that.

brianna: all the additions you suggested are excellent, and I will be sure those are in there :D i'll im you about the pink boots and location/modelling for the fashion show ;D

Also, not sure if ive stated in this thread yet, but if anyone is experiencing problems with my items (crotch or shoulder/arm seams, non-working vending boxes ect) please im me in world asap so i can fix them for you :)

thanks again everyone, and i look forward to hearing more suggestions! :D

Neph, if you start designing menswear, I'll definitely buy. I'm getting tired of wearing the same sweater and jeans every day.

I was hoping to find a kilt based on the new skirt template. I was thinking of starting a thread to ask if anyone had made one, and then I saw this thread and thought I'd mention it.

I don't know if you'd be interested, but I'd like to see more modest fall and winter type clothing. I'd like to see how much the envelope can be pushed to make loose, flowing skirts and dresses now that the new skirt mesh is available. Also more long sleeved tops with interesting neck and sleeve designs. I guess a lot of the tight gothic and halter top looks just don't appeal to me, especially now that it's getting colder outside, heh. Hippy clothes, long shirts, robes... it'd be fun to see more of that. You know, all the low waisted and high waisted stuff the templates just weren't designed to do. ;)

Cadroe -- I've been testing the skirt template for my kilt, too. Right now, there's this weird bulge right where the skirt waist ends, and it's rather considerably above my belly button as Chip(?) noted in another thread. Kilts don't bulge, and they hang straight off the hips to boot. :p

Because of these, I've been sticking with the pre-1.1 kilt I whipped up until I can get around to poking at the template in PSP7. (and get the pattern tiled, too)

If I get a decent kilt made I can give you a shout.

Nergal - Very cool, I look forward to seeing the results. Are you pleating the kilt in the back? That's how I've worn my FL kilt (don't know what's most "normal";).
