First night impressions, and a quick question.

Man what a night it's been! I get into the world, and what do ya know, my avatar is a woman. DEFINITELY the first thing I had to change, seeing as how I am MALE! So I get used to everything, make my avatar look like me (sorta) and just fly around until I notice a couple of guys on their own property. Let me tell ya, you people who make those special avatars are TALENTED! I saw a DBZ character, Superman, even Spongebob Squarepants! We had fun lookin at these avatars until we started pulling out objects. This guy had a FULL SIZED SUBMARINE!!! And a rocket ship! Then he pulls out a hypnotizer wheel that's spinning. He peels off the script which just happens to be one line, and suddenly we're all playing around with new objects making them spin around, and trying to sit on them! Basically we found out that your avatar has a tough time going through a full spin while sitting down, but if you bring up the edit window for anything, it'll spin smoother and you can take some nice screenshots  I started fooling around with the different objects and pretty quickly made myself a nice lighted halo that I now don atop my skull  So I just kinda flew around and tried out some of the random objects lieing around until I decided to try my hand at the Casino. Well basically I got stuck in the ground the second I landed, and when I tried to teleport out of it, the game crashed  but hey, it's a beta, what do you expect! All in all I had a great time and I can't wait to commit more time to the world. Which brings up the question that I probably should have found by now but didn't. Why only from 16:00 to 22:00?! I really wish I could have my 24/7 server, I think it would reduce load as people would only play during certain times... of course it makes sense if we're limiting the time so that people don't turn out having EverQuest widows! So far I love the community, and I can't wait to see the rest of you!  |

Theory.. if we were allowed to log in whenever, there wouldn't be that huge crush at 16:00 every day. When this puppy goes Live we're going to have a whole lot more than 40 people in world at a time, and the servers have to be stress tested now. It seems that a lot of the land is populated as well with buildings and such. I have had a chance to log in since my first day and was I lost. hehe
I couldn't find anyone but like 2 people. Ahh well, I missed the lotto and such.

LOL! I have to say I did the same as Dave yesterday. Neph, Neil and I made this huge "roll a giant physical ball thingy" it started out abotu 150 in the air and went down a circut that covered 1\4 of a sim! It was pretty fun!
