Hey all
This post doesn't really have one single point, it's just about something that just happened to me. One of those moments where you know something deep has just come to you, but you aren't quite sure what it is. You know what i'm talking about.
I was walking through my library and I saw, up on the wall, all these projects done by 2nd-4th grade classes. They were sheets of paper that were decorated, then each student put a star on it with their wish for the world written on. Here are some of them, but there were a lot more than just this.
"I wish that everyone had at least $5000 in their bank all the time"
"I wish for world peace"
"I wish there were no more wars"
"I wish for no more war" (I would estimate that 1/3 - 1/2 of all of them were on this topic)
"I wish that the world had more video games. I love video games"
"I wish that people didn't have to be poor"
"I wish that people would stop smoking. Too many people smoke"
"I wish that there were no homeless people. Also mean people"
And then there was the one that made me stop and think.
"I wish that my mom and dad had more time to spend with me"
Kids are people too. Sometimes more insightful than you or I. Yeah, they eat their own boogers, but so what? They're kids.
Like I said, there wasn't really a clear point. But I felt like sharing.
