A 5-year old girl lost her parents.... http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,151944,00.htmlThe most glorious part: From: someone The couple apparently feared the suspect and tried to get a court-ordered injunction to keep him away from their family. However, a judge denied the request on account that there was not enough evidence to support the stalking charge. Yes, and look what happened!

Damn, the same thing happened in Georgetown,SC. Except in that case it was a single mother of 3 and the killer was her boyfriend/father of one of the kids. The judge in that case said he didn't issue a restraint order "to avoid treading on the father's right to see his kid", even though the mother had notes and phone recordings where the boyfriend said he was going to kill her. Friggin lawyers and judges...

Gawd, that's terrible. What a rotten decision on the judge's part...
Do you think there's anything that could be changed to minimize these errors in judgement from happening?

Only thing I can think of is for the judges to have more common sense.
If this couple brought a drug dealer to jail, then there should be some type of security for them. Even if they didn't turn him, it was obvious that the killer had eyes on them, since they tried to get protection from him and unfortunately was denied.
I just hope the judge who did deny them has this over his head, and think twice about his decisions from now on. Not to be mean, but now a 5 year old girl is an orphan, lost both her parents. It made me tear up when I heard the 911 call.
I just wish the judge had made a better decision, that's all...
