I received this note today:

From: someone

To all Second Lifers who knew and befriended Zingo Mars, I was a friend of Zingo in RL and it is with deep regret that inform you of her passing. She died in a car accident on the 22nd of December after being hit by a drunk driver. According to reports she was killed instantly.

She was the reason I joined SL. I know that while she was here (in SL) she enjoyed the company of many people here. I wanted to send out this message to all her friends to let you know that I will be setting up a memorial for her. I will spend the next few days creating the memorial. I'll post again when i have it set up. Please let me know if you do not want to be contacted again.

I am sad beyond words. What a shitty way to start the New Year… finding out that a friend is dead. SL has lost one of it’s own and I have lost a friend. What a tragedy that such a brightly shining light was put out before her time.

I simply cannot form words eloquently enough to express my sorrow at hearing that she is gone from this world. Surely there is a new star in the sky tonight shining as brightly as the flame that lived in her heart. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of her family and friends. You will be missed Zingo.

Sorry to hear about this Billy. It has to be a horrible thing for the friends and family to deal with, especially at this time of the year.

And I'd like to mention, if you'd like also to place a memorial to Zingo at the Plum Memorial grounds, you are warmly welcome to remember her there. Go to the Plum sim, you can't miss the honorable structure to our lost loved ones. Just ask if you need more info.

I wanted to post and say "Thank you" for your kind words and thoughts.
I've created a snow globe memorial with her picture and, what I believe to be one of the things she was proudest of in SL, a spider she had built. (she loved spiders)

I finished up the Plaque and the Globe, now all that remains is to get into contact with Fleabite to place it in the memorial hall in Plum. I'll keep her friends posted and hope to have it in place by the weekend.
