Attention all customors/associates of the SL Mall. I realize that there may have been some unfortunate changes going on around SL, and some have been a sudden unexpected turn, the SL has come down for some unknown reason, I purchased the land and returned all the merchandise to their respective owners.
To many people, the SL Mall, was and still is a Landmark. Many people did go to it to look for ideas and/or merchandise. The idea of the SL Mall, was to keep it up and running, however recent events (I suppose) didnt make that possible.
If it's possible, I'd like to speak with all of the associates that were in the store. I do plan on rebuilding it. So, if it's rebuilt, would you come back to being a vendor?

Count me in, Eins, I've always had decent sales from the SL Mall in Clara, and it seems to have something of an established reputation as a place to shop. Or maybe it's just in a good avatar migration pattern location, I dunno. I was disappointed to see yesterday that Rathe had pulled it down and sold the land under it without telling any of us vendors. However, since neither Rathe nor Stampshady had ever charged me a penny of rent for using space in the Mall, I can't really complain.

The idea here will be the same concept.. a place for everyone to have their own spot in a ripe, high traffic area free of charge/rent. I did just think it was rather disappointing Myself.. to see it come down without warning. However, there might be a good cause for it, but someone still should have been warned.
And people did like the location, and appeal, which had people make a lot of profit off of it.
So the concept remains the same, just the design may turn out a tad differently.

Einsman, would you be interested in new vendors or is it closed at this point? Give me an IM in game if you get the chance or I can IM you. Thanks

There will most likely be new vendors in the mall. Since I know that some aren't as active as they are... or might have difficulty getting back with Me. However, when all said and done, since the original idea was from stamp.. I'm going to leave it up to him what he wants to do with it.

The SL Mall was removed for several reasons. I appologize for any vendors inconvienced by it or the lack of notice, but with how many vendors were there, it would be quite difficult to notify everyone prior to its removal without waiting a significant amount of time.
Clara was suffering badly from the poorly constructed architecture of the building and the free form layout of rezzed merchandise. The prim usage generated by the mall was not beneficial to anyone and the lag made it nearly impossible to navigate. The building itself had floors sandwiched together that could be made into single prims, the roof was made of 3 layers of rectangle prims stacked upon each other internally for no logistical reason.
The inefficency in design and location made it quite a tax burden. I opted not to charge rent to the existing vendors, since promises previously made prior to my aquisition of the SL Mall had not yet been met and I felt it would be unfair to apply a sudden financial burden to those existing vendors. The solution to its finances and design problems can be cured with the proper steps taken, this is the first of such steps.
I left all merchandise there to be reclaimed by the vendors, which I felt confident would be notified in time to reclaim their property before public decay. I would have "returned" the items, but felt they would be lost in the vendors inventory as many of them are mis-named or have no names at all. However, I did not anticipate someone claiming the land immediatly and returning them all. It's unfortunate this happened and I hope everything was returned safely.
I'd also like to point out that just because it is currently gone does not mean it is gone forever. I took the building into my inventory so that it could be restored. Before that happens it would need to be cleaned up, excess prims removed, and proper linking applied. It also needs to find a better suited location than Clara which was heavily prim taxed.
When I purchased it from stampshady I agreed to keep the building in SL as he was concerned about losing the architectual landmark of it. I have not broken this deal, since our deal did include the right for me to relocate it if necessary, so as long as the building was not deleted permantly.
I paid a substantial amount of money for the SL Mall, which to my understanding, did not include just the land and building, but also the property rights, this includes things such as the design and name. I'd like to ask that you please respect those rights and their rightful owners.
If you intend to build a shopping area in the SL Mall's prior location, you are obviously free to so since I released the land, and I respect your right to do so, but I ask that you make no blatant attempt to mimic, copy, or reproduce the SL Mall, including its design, logo, and name.
Thank you!
