Too often I have an urge from Pecan Pie and my friends promise me the restaurant of their choice has it. And then it doesn't! To avoid this situation, here are two chain restaurants with terrific pecan pie

Swiss Chalet - Contrary to popular belief, they do serve people aged under 64

Denny's - Besides pecan pie and being open 24 hrs this place is worthless, though. In fact, it's utterly disgusting. They should change the name of the Supper Slugger breakfast to Fat Slob.

It's way too rich in taste for me. I prefer blueberry, cherry or strawberry.

I lived in the southern US many moons ago and pecan pie was quite prevalent in those parts.

Strawberries are my fave! YUMMMMMMMMMY! :D

Pecan pie is kind of a seasonal thing outside the south; I usually only see it in restaurants around here (the Pacific Northwest) during the holiday months (Oct/Nov/Dec). This regional restaurant chain we sometimes frequent carries lots of tasty pies, but they don't list pecan as a current selection. Your best bet would be to either go to a local bakery and order a pecan pie, or mail order one (a Google search of "pecan pies shipped" yielded a number of sources).
