What is it with the clocks?

I had a clock, and it kept creeping away from the wall. I made this clock, and it had a lot of moving parts on it, so I figured it was a bug. But now I've got this other clock, and I'll be damned if it's not moving away from the wall again!

Is this happening to everyone? Or just me?

If it's a physical-hands clock, I think that's a bug in how SL rounds vectors and quaternions and such.

Get a texture clock, less hassle :)

Thanks, Lordfly.

That's really a bummer. But on the bright side, I guess I can put my uber cool clock back up. I put in an extra script in mine to keep it steady. Will see if I can't do this with this other clock as well.

Ha ! Someone else with the same problem.

I have a lovely Grandfather clock that I thought was possessed, either that or I had a Poltergeist !

It was locked, but every day I'd go into my house and find it a foot off the floor, and away from the wall.

Glad there's a logical explanation... lol

:D

Haha ! I had this happen to me as well, BUT .... I purchased this clock and put it on the wall in the den. The next day it was gone ... Im like what happened ? So I go back and buy another clock thinking that one poofed. I hang it in the same spot. The next day it on the other side of the wall ... or so I thought. The 1st one had become embedded inside the wall, and was really still there, but after 2 days made itself shown on the oppisite side, well I didnt know this, so , I move it back to where it was and go on about my business, everyday for a week I moved it back to where it was.... Then as I got busy at work I didnt get home for a few days ... thats when I saw them, lol, funny as heell both moved through the wall and into the kitchen ... all that week I had been playing musical clocks.

I've had a weird problem with my Francis Chung watch actually DRIFTING out of time with the official Lindentime clock -- can ya believe that, a digital watch in a digital world, DRIFTING? Dunno why that was... maybe it has something to do with my time-travelling essence.

Hope the "poltergeists" go away for ya! :)

Here ya go.... I did something like this fix my clock....

CODE

vector location;

default
{
touch_start(integer NOT_USED)
{
location = llGetPos();
llSetTimerEvent(60);
}

timer()
{
llSetPos(location);
}
}

There ya go. Drop that in an object, click it... and problem solved. You won't even know it's there. And your clock will stay put :)
