Hello everyone, On Saturday, Jan. 24, 2005 I was contacted by Letum Zuma. He asked if I would sell my blackjack table to him with full copy permission. I told him I do not sell my blackjack tables but I would allow him to be an affiliate. He discounted that and proceeded to pry at me to sell my tables. Since I wouldn't budge, he said he would do the affiliate deal but didn't agree to my terms. He insisted that I basically run my tables at a loss (giving a huge % for every hand lost by the player). On a rigged game this might work, but in authentic blackjack, profits are an average thing and can't be calculated hand by hand. In addition, if the games lose I would have to absorb the loss. After getting nowhere in several hours of talk, he went back to trying to get me to sell my tables. I ended up leaving it at that. (was tired) Tonight, he contacted me again and tried to get me to agree with his terms again. I tried to be polite and wouldn't budge. This is a service... and a good deal for the affiliate, it is not a right. I talked another few hours tonight and didn't get anywhere. He ended up offering me a TP to give me negative ratings and have me give him negative ratings. I refused to TP since I have never given/recieved negative ratings and wasn't planning on changing that. Since I wouldn't agree to his terms, he TPed to my premises, gave me neg ratings, then proceeded to trash talk me to my customers with his alt and even tried to bribe one of my players L$575 to give me 3 negative ratings!! Just now, he sent me nasty messages and then muted me and banned me from his sim. I was willing to let the whole negative rating me thing go, but when he went onto my premises, trash-talked me and tried to bribe my customers that was a little much. I just want to warn everyone about this guy. I just wish there didn't have to be people like this in SL

Its my first time having to deal with someone like this. I'm unsure how far the lindens will go to protect me on this... or how far he will go to try to ruin my second life.

I have nothing but nice things to say about Plexore and her tables. For this guy to acuse her of being shady, and trash talking to her customers is down right uncalled for. I guess even adults will throw temper tantrums if they don't get their way. Maybe it's time for a nap. *shrug*
Keep your head up girl, you don't need to deal with people who act that way.
Best Regards, McW

I love how people will do anything that they can to get what they want. Even when they have no right to it in the least.
I have had dealings with Plex in world that have nothing to do with this BUT I can tell you that she is a very level headed person with damn good business sence. I could go on with this but is short, Plex is one of the people in SL that is a pleasure to just sit and talk with.
For someone to be a (as we call them where I come from) pecker head to her because he does not like her terms, that I am sure are very reasonable, and because he is too damn lazy to learn how to code as well as Plex does is just wrong. Then to interupt business is something that is jsut ..... not sure if I could use those words in here.
Plex, I would report this ass and just keep on going. I have seen your casino and know how good you code. Just keep doing what you are doing and you will be fine.

Happens alot lately in SL, people get very pushy about what they want and really don't want to take no for an answer... lemme give ya a lil bit of hard learned advice.
Don't be the designer when you are talking to these people, yer a sales rep. If they get persistant, say yer 'group' has a sales policy yer powerless to change. people will often eventually consent to the fact you "can't" sell them the table, when they would spend hours getting pissed that you "won't" sell them the table.
This is a tactic that RL small businesses have used for ages and it works amazingly well.
Just give it a shot the next time someone gets uppity, just let them know you simply can't do it, that its against policy and you can't change policy. It sounds kinda lame when ya jus out an say it here as advice. But it really can and will protect you from having to deal with scenarios like the one brought to light with this thread.
I'm not saying be rude, be as nice as you can be, but let them no there is nothing that they, or anyone else can say or do that can get them the table, so theres no point in gettin angry tryin.

I have a new idea. If someone negatively rates you, Add a special section in your profile dedicated to the person. *so and so* negatively rated me because I wouldn't let him basically steal my hard worked on tables and use him to his own benefits. Let them know.

From: someone I have a new idea. If someone negatively rates you, Add a special section in your profile dedicated to the person. This is fairly common already, but I dont like seeing this in peoples profiles. I know the intent is to warn others of the foul person you dealt with, but, in my view, it only puts their name out there to add to their infamy and it makes you look overly concerned about your neg rates. Its up to you of course, I just sort of get sad when I see that in the profile section that is supposed to be about you.

yeah posting in your profile about someone who neg rated you is lame. make me feel insulted like they think a -1 is going to make me think they're evil and horrible and i should judge them. but that's um prolly just me.
