1.6.1 is it crashing anyone else?

Like a lot of us here, I've been experiencing massive crashes due to the 1.6 release. I'm fairly sure its not my system as I'm running above the required specs for SecondLife to run. With 1.6 I had random crashes. Now that I've installed the new client, it locks up right as I login. I've noticed this happens faster, right after I start typing. Typical time before I crash is 5-20 seconds.

Basically, I just want to know I'm not alone here. To see if others are having these same issues. Being told to call LL tech support isn't really going to do me much, other than tie them up.

*points out this thread belongs in Technical Issues without trying to come off too bad and fails miserably*

Oh well..

You always get a dip in performance after a major update, especially while implementing something like streaming video. It picks up after a few "fix" updates..

Maybe post a poll:

a) I'm not using 1.6.1 yet
b) I'm using 1.6.1 and it's fine
c) I'm using 1.6.1 and it's crashing more than 1.6
d) I'm using 1.6.1 and it's crashing as much as 1.6 did
e) other

?

"User-created content takes the idea of leveraging player opinions a step further by allowing them to effectively prototype new ideas and features. Developers can then measure which new concepts most improve the products and incorporate them into the game in future patches."

Yes the crashing has been terrible. Requests to support for a list of commonly known issues related to 1.6 went unfilled.

What is interesting is, I got a response telling me that I had no crash reports on file.

While this may be true on Tcoz Bach and from my home IP (where I absolutely try to minimize the amount of data I send out to any automated request), I found it quite disturbing that these crash reports are obviously not anonymous (as I believe crash reports should be).

yes, hell yes. think the rest is bad? go to the Dark Life sim...the sim FPS now averages 30-100, crashing every 30 minutes on average :( Poor Mark is probably overwhelmed.
--for those that dont know, sim FPS shouldnt really drop below 300...500+ is optimal---
And this is a smaller sim than many, with a newer server, according to Jack Linden, whom I spoke to there about it.
