And another one....
If you were in love with your partner and you had to leave them for several months, how much would you miss them once you were apart?

Funny you mention it...
Every year, I send my wife to visit her parents in Poland during the Holidays; well actually a little past the holidays, she stays there for about four months.
I love my wife but I know she loves her parents too, and her being the only child, her parents love her passionately.
Shortly after we got married and we traveled to Poland to pick up all her belongings, we were in the airport in Krakow and I remember seeing her dad's face when he thought we could not see him anymore. I don't cry easily, but I broke down. I have never seen so much love and pain in anyone's face as I saw in her dad's. It broke my heart.
At that moment, I decided that no matter what anyone thought, I would send my wife for an extended visit with her parents every year.
Sure I miss her, but to me marriage means more than just being together. She left last night and I will not see her again until the fourth of May, but at least I can hope I was able to bring a little happiness to my wife and her folks for the next four months.

- T - Awwww Tito....I love to hear heartwarming stories like that. I personally can't be a day with out my papi Darko. I remember last year he had to leave us to go to the US to get surgery done. He was gone for a little over a month....talk about being hard. I can't imagine being apart from him for such a long period. But when it comes to making loved ones happy you do whatever you can.

I'd be okay for a couple days, then it would be hard. I'm usually the one that goes out of town to visit family, but it's really weird to not have him there to laugh with about something. I would miss that terribly.

To paraphrase one of my favorite poets:
"She is my North, my South, my East and West, My working week and my Sunday rest."
Nuff said.

My relationship with ana pretty much started out with me having to wait for 6 months while she went to Austria on a student exchange program. I literally went mad
