What's the deal.. it's actually PAINFUL to try to use SL today. Sims crashing, client trippin, teleports hanging... what gives?

Rolling restarts, probably preparing for 1.6. It's not so bad except for the asset servers choking and dying. I went around as a grey mannequin for about half an hour after my home sim restarted. But it's all in good fun.

It was difficult for me to log in earlier to check my IMs. The Login Queue took a long time. In addition, for the last few days, I have been having connection instabilities involving slow download rates -- a real mystery. The support Lindens have helpfully been assisting me with this.

Hopefully 1.6 will calm the storms... until the next wave of innovation. ;)

It's probably the Lindens testing their new llSkyIsFalling script command.
