I think I have a virus on my pocket pc. The time keeps changing and none of the shortcuts work in the settings menu. I am really frustrated. Can someone suggest an anti-viurs software for pocket pc. Thank you in advance kids.

Let me clarify…I am actually more annoyed than frustrated. The god damn clock never tells me the right time. I have to change it daily and it fucks up my daily alarms. I am 2 hours late everywhere I go.
Now the shortcuts work but the time just changed again, wtf? Could this be the work of a virus? _____________________

Where is everyone? Does anyone read the off-topic thread? I feel so alone.

I have been doing some research on pocket pc viruses and it seems they are very rare. At this point I am assuming I do not have a virus.
Anyone have any idea what might be causing the strange pocket pc behavior? ![]() _____________________

Did it get dropped or something and simply malfunctioning? Is it under warranty? Talk to the manufacturer and see if you can get some help?

An example of Pocket PC anti-virus software: http://www.f-secure.com/wireless/pocketpc/pocketpc-av.shtml
Doesn't the clock reset to your computer's time each time you synchronize? What model of PPC are you using? _____________________

Doesn't the clock reset to your computer's time each time you synchronize? What model of PPC are you using? I dont know about the clock resetting when I sync. I will explore that possibility now. I have a Dell Axim 3 and no it has never been dropped. I am assuming it is still under warranty. I would consider RMA only as a last resort. _____________________

Sorry I can't help you, my friend... I'm a Palm Pilot kind of guy, myself, and like Lecktor, know squat about Pocket PC's.
But I feel your pain. - Ace _____________________

But I feel your pain. - Ace The pain is overwhelming. It saturates my being and distorts my character. I do hope you never really have to feel my pain Ace. ![]() _____________________

My desktop time was correct but set to the wrong time zone. The pocket pc was compensating for the time zone difference every time it synchronized. I am so happy. Thanks again! ROCK ON CROSS!! One love. _____________________

Pocket PC? Palm Pilot? Why does it sound like you are talking about masturbation?

I actually ran across something mentioning time-zone weirdness on the PPC, I'm just feeling stupid for not having mentioned it explicitly. Dumb vixen, this one. ![]() _____________________
