i need a piece of land in the northwest corner of the map. i saw a housing plot for sale in brown today. a linden had bought it. i saw another one in green (one of the little campsites). a linden had bought it.
i know they own vast tracts of land for various reasons. for instance, a linden owns green except for the little campsites. but why are lindens purchasing these kinds of plots when we're all trying to reorganize and prepare?
i'm not complaining. land purchase is a free for all and i've won and lost before. this just seems new and odd. well what doesn't nowdays. i wonder if they're buying that whole portion of the map to add something later? anybody got an idea?

In 1.2, some sims with lots of Linden owned land will allow more prims per square meter for the non-LInden land. Brown, Green, Boardman, and De Haro have a very high percentage of Linden land so some people might expect that the public land there would be very prim rich. We haven't decided where to set the prim limit so we claimed the land to avoid people buying land on a false assumption.

Will the Lindens be buying up additional land in Clementina to support the prims in the governor's mansion?

Depends on what the prim/land ratio turns out to be there.

and thank you haney for the response. it turns out that my group owns one of the little campgrounds in green already so i'm in good shape there.
i should really pay more attention huh? i've secured what i think will be my last bit of parkland on a ridgetop in federal. that, kissling and olive will be the extent of my linden beautification project until 1.2 rolls around.
