News Flash...Crime to Run Rampant.

Wow, after reading all the economic change threads it got me started thinking.

Crime will be more abundant now. Why with less money people are gonna want that $LBack.

So what do I see comming about. Freebie Selling exploding. Newbs are gonna snag every freebie they can and start selling them cause...

A. the stuff is free
B. they didnt have to buy it or build it.
C. they need cash

Sorry if this sounds pessimistic but unfortunately I see this as an a serious problem about to explode.

The Bug Loopholes have not been closed for copy protection and this is evident from the bug report I submitted the other night. So with that in mind...Creators be wary as you will start seeing a lot of your stuff out there for sale but not by you.

I have been back peddaling lately on creating stuff for inworld and I am slowly starting to think I am going to back out of it all together especially now knowing people are gonna be struggling for cash. No offence this seems arrogant of me to an extent but I don't want people making a profit off all the hours "I" spent making things.

I know this thread will die quickly as its not the hot topic of the day but rest assured it will come back to haunt like so many other times I and several others have mentioned something.

Yeah probably - but I took 99% of my free stuff off the market and withdrew support for it a long time ago... I stopped caring about that.

I just make stuff for my friends and I to play with - occassionally getting roped into eventually putting stuff up for sale.

If people wanna slit each others throats over a couple of virtual dollars they can be my guest... I hope they do it vocally so I know who to avoid in world.

I know Siggy, the thing is I got to see that Copy Perms bug in action the other night and it disturbed me greatly. The bug is not fixed those that know how to exploit it and are new are going to be tearing the new economy a new asshole.

Unfortunately the economic sollutions offered are not sollutions but bandaids for sunken chest wound..sorry they are just gonna open things up further as these..."patches" wont hold water and it is going to get just like you said ..."Cut Throat"..but not in the sense of actuall creators competing but Thieves competing with stolen Content.

This change is so small for the bank balances of newbs that I fail to see how it's going to lead to grannies being mugged?!?! If a newb was going to do what you say, they'd do it anyway even if the stipend bonus was doubled. The difference is that negligible when you think about it.

Cris, thats all I will say as all the information and procedural has been turned over to Jill Linden and I hope they get it fixed.

I can say it was done 5 times repetitively and proven and the steps and methods for it given to LL for evaluation and hopefully fixing.

When LL assures me that its fixed and its tested again that it is fixed.
I will report what it was then but for now just accept that its there and its a Major Permissions bug.

Pendari, doesnt matter what you set them at all of them to include the Creator can be circumvented and was proven 5 times even the NO Transfer was circumvented.

I wasn't asking how as in what is the technique, just how you happened upon this - I am glad you turned it over to them, I have been working with Phoenix recently as I continue to be plagued by the problem. Thank you for providing them with that info.
