seriously, stickies for FAQ's in the building, texturing, and scripting forums? please? I think 20 people a day ask how to make alpha channel textures, or ask how to link things together, or how to use very basic script functions. PLEASE may we have some stickies?

your humble servant ,

maybe someone who really knows their stuff but more importantly knows how to communicate it should write the tutorial and send it to LL. i'm ok for some subjects but i've started an alpha channel tutorial three times and realized i can't even understand what i wrote. :D

plus you need someone with wide experience. i make alphas by hand in photoshop CS. i don't know squat about letting it make them for you from transparency in your image or doing it in PSP or gimp and i don't even have old copies of photoshop laying around.

but yeah i agree. we need alot of tutorials in some obvious place to keep every single person who joins from asking every single same question every single day.

I've gently asked for more stickies myself. Hotlinks! :)

Uh, nice to see you again, Spider.

Mmmm stickies.. Yes I agree it would be great to have stickies. You're always going to see the same questions asked again and again. I think some basic info on programs used, a few how-to posts, etc would be great.

You could start by adding stuff to the wiki...

To sticky or to wiki, that is the question..... :p

Personally, I think both would be great.

Sticky Wiki

Mmmm I like the sound of that and I don't even know why.

BUMP because Ive seen the same five questions asked about 30 times since I posted this.
(also for refference, it is, contrary to current internet belief NOT an absolute requirement to wiki and/or open a wiki for everything that could ever possibly be asked ever in any forum on any subject. were only talking four or five repetitive questions, and one sticky could do the work of a 20 page wiki.)
