So, anyone else get in the WoW beta? I'm downloading it now. I used to hate bit torent cuz it was always god aweful slow, but now I found the secret. Set it to 'Cable/DSL Slow' and it works awesome, set it to anything faster and I get DL rates of about 1k/s, if I'm lucky. So I probalby had too high of settings before. Never mind that I'm on a 3mbs cable modem and should be able to do the fastest they have. heh.
Anyways, aside from that bit of off topic rant, anyone else in?

I'm in the saga of Ryzom though. That game is hard to understand but it's fantastically advanced. The creatures have alife algorithms so they herd and migrate and stuff. It's cool!

Aw man, I'm jealous I found out about the beta sign-up a day too late... I used to have the same problem with bittorrent. Basically, if you specify too much UL bandwidth it saturates the upstream and then theres little bandwidth left for the DL protocol to work. You should always specify less UL bandwidth than what you have. Have fun with WoW. Let us know how you like it... -Code |

Its so sad but.... I'm hardly gonna be able to use it.  I leave for Hawaii early tomorrow, and move to a place where we won't have internet for a couple of weeks about 2 days after we get back from hawaii. :-/ Ah well.
