Beta members' monument?

At the end of beta, some residents gave the Lindens a monument. On the front it said, "This monument has been presented to Linden Labs to mark the culmination of its beta test. This will be an everlasting reminder of all they have done for and given their beta testers. May it forever be a token of our appreciation and gratitude for giving us the tools to create this amazing world." One the back it had a list of the Lindens' names.

This monument vanished from the governor's mansion at some point, and the Lindens are having difficulty finding it in inventory. Are the residents who made it still in-game? If so, and if you can find a copy of the monument, please give a copy to Ryan Linden. Thanks.

I remember seeing it in plum or lime a few months ago.

Jake...wasn't there a copy of that monument on the island in Welsh that I now own?

Are the inventories of cancelled accts permanently erased?

I don't remember if there was a copy in Welsh or not. Do you remember who owned it? I would imagine it's possible that inventories of cancelled accts might still exist on a backup somewhere.

Maybe LL should concentrate on the customers who are here, rather than the customers who aren't here?

I wasn't beta... I was still lost in my TSO stranglehold at the time.

But I tip my cap to those that helped get this Second Life off the ground.

Considering the customers who ARE here have asked for the governor's mansion to be restored for many months now, they ARE focusing on the customers who are here.

Considering the many thousands of customers since beta who have been clamoring for things to be added/fixed to SL, I wonder where LL's priorities are.

Tell me about it. It's not like additions or fixes take more than a few minutes to make and test. What's taking them so long?
...

No doubt they're working hard every day to improve SL. The monument, to me, marks a milestone that's very hard to get through at almost every developer. I consider it part of the history of the persistant world, and it should be displayed.

Considering it's PLAYERS doing the renovation, and not LL, I don't see how your statement applies.

Skippy Powers and Carrera LeFay were two that helped to create it. :)

Glad you found it, Haney!

you two be nice!

GJ haney for finding it! it seems to be simple but it has more value to those involved. I am not beta but I understand the importance of milestone achievements.
