So, I just got my employee review. It states:
"Internet use needs to be kept to a minimum."
I would really appreciate it if LL would make the forums look just a little bit more like an Excel spreadsheet, because it's a dead giveaway each time a co-worker walks by and sees Obscuro.

I'm always amused by company policies that state that internet access is to be used for work purposes only. Management always gets so snappy when the peons are browsing the web, but it seems every time I wander past a manager's office, they're browsing non-company-related material.

I'm not supose to be using SL at work? crap!.. Luckily my boss is on another floor and hates stairs. One set of employees used to skateboard in the halls for a month before being caught (this is the problem with hiring University students). |

I work in a university and TBH all us staff are WAY much worse than the students
 I got sprung 3 times yesterday using yahoo... but its ok.. its for music purposes.. riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiggggghhhhhhhhht _____________________

You know... i used to be big in the whole web browser games.. the text ones.. and several of them i used to play released "discreet versions" that were highly toned down and not all flashy.. it worked great..people just glimpsing thought it was figures or something.

Oh I know they have software that logs it. But I'm a smart girl and made friends with the IT guy as soon as I got here, and he umm... 'alters' the reports that he gives to management. So I'm pretty sure the internet usage they're talking about is just what they see in passing.
Funny though that I always get my work done, and done ahead of schedule. They really should look more at what is accomplished over the process. Bastards. |
