Hi everyone! I'm just a couple weeks new in SL and I'm loving it. Thank you to all the kind people that have taken time to welcome and help me get the shoe boxes off my head. I have a questions about permissions that I can't find asked or answered anywhere in the forums, if someone would be kind enough to guide me.

I understand how to set the permission on my retail items inside their package...inside the vendor. But the layers of permissions have me confused. I don't set any changes on the prim I package the items in, correct? The big question is, I just noticed that my actual vendor was set so that anyone could copy it. Does that mean that anyone could have copied my vendor the last two weeks and had a copy of all my items inside? If so, how should I set the permissions on the vendor prim itself?

Oh, if it helps, I'm using Hiro's wonderful vendor.

I sure hope this made sense to someone and thanks in advance if you can straighten me out!

For the Hiro Vendor, especially the holo-vendor (if I remember correctly), you have to create your own vendor prims and use the Hiro Vendor scripts in it. Dont use the demo model as the permissions are set so anyone could copy the vendor and your items. I did that at first when I set up my first vendor. IM me if you cannot figure it out.

Thank you DNA, I was coming back to ask that exact thing again but you answered it. I was using the demo version, so I've been unprotected for two weeks. Thanks so much for your help! I've got it fixed now.
