Personally, I find it amazing that this forum MUST stick to general SL issues. I had a post moved because, I guess it was not 'general' enough, although it generally had to do with secondlife.

So, in an attempt to actually keep a post here in the general forum, I will post regarding things in general:

In general, I feel that things in secondlife are generally pretty good. The number of SL players is generally increasing - and generally - many reviews and articles covering SL feel that its *generally* a pretty solid product.

For the most part, the avatars I've met in-world are, generally speaking, quite friendly and intelligent. It also appears that the number of Sims in secondlife are generally increasing. In many Sims, there is a general consensus that lag and CPU speed are important issues which require LL's attention. Generally, most seem to think LL is doing a good job addressing these and other issues.

In a general sense, the quality and novelty of in-world products designed by SL users seems to be on the whole, generally good.

I'm generally pretty satisfied with SecondLife.

Sincerely,
Jaq

I'd say generally your first noted attempt (that I recall) at sarcasm is rather clever ! :p

I like it so far... I begin playing on the first of december, I am not sure whether to call it a game or an interface, but it's definately something.

The only thing that worries me is how the Linden Dollar actually translates to money, which you really don't think about until you do it. I bought 60 real dollars worth of Linden from GOM at I think it was 3.99 / 1000 Linden to help get me started. Well I bought a 5000 Linden item without even thinking about it in game and am quite satisfied with it, in fact it is really nice and I would have done it all over again in a heartbeat. However, if I had been in that same store and clicked on "buy" and it asked me for a credit card number and told me that I would have to pay $20.00 US for that item I probably would never have done it even though it is EXACTLY the same. I guess it is very easy to think of Linden Dollars as "Game Money" and therefore not "real" and I have to get out of that mindset I think, that is going to be the biggest challenge for me.

Well... that and the complexity of Photoshop making me want to jump out of a window...

Was that a valid contribution that is general enough for this thread? :)
