Questions from a new citizen

I am a little curious on our weekly alottment. Is there a set amount?
Also.......How much cash is needed to buy a small parcel of land and build a modest house.
It looks like if I am to make money, I need to learn to build things and sell them. Is there other ways to acquire cash?
This tax thing I am reading about, scares me a little. It looks like I could go broke soon if I dont learn to make things and sell them.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty new but I can answer this for you.
Looks like you get $1000 a week + extra money based on if you refer people to the game and if people rate you positively. Not sure what the ratio of bonus points to cash is (I am at +200ish and I think its like and extra $500 ? rough guess - I cant log in now)

The way to make money is to get others to part with their money any way you can, get peopel to rate you and get friends to sign up - its worth $3000

I have a small land plot. They will be like $1200 and $300 a week roughly - its not a lot. I have released and resized my land a few times before tax time came around and havnt been taxed yet.

Makes me wonder if I release my land right before it taxes me then reaquire the land, if I can escape the tax man
