Last night I was at the TLC sandbox in Celadon. After I had finished up what I was doing, I decided to donate $20 to TLC to show my appreciation. However, the donate box I had clicked on and donated to gave me an odd message. I checked the owner and it happened to be ralph Saito, someone new and not even connected to TLC from what I can tell. His only group happened to be the Jedi Masters of SL or some such. This got me quite upset as being new I don't have alot of money to just give-away, and when I do I want it to go to whom I deem worthy of it. Certainly not to some jerk who randomly drops a scripted donate box hoping someone will hand him money for nothing. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I am and would like to share my experience warning anyone else to watch out for this.

I think there's one still on my skyscraper in Davenport. Of course, being the idiot I am, I sold it to someone, (the skyscraper) so I don't have control over what ends up crufting into it or on it. I IMed a bunch of people to get their crap off, but it didn't really happen.
Yay SL.
I should at least put one up there for myself, covering his, but its better left there as a memorial of how SL has changed.
All hail Dwellnor.

Perhaps I'm overreacting, if it's free I can see how someone could have just dropped it in the sandbox without thinking much about it. I blame myself for being such an air-head. Live and learn...

These illegal donation boxes showed up in Briarcliff Manor too. The rat b*!t@rd who put them out tried to tell the people near by that he was part owner of the store he was placing the box in. ugh. Nice huh?

I have had a few of these donate boxes left in or around the GNU store, presumably attempting to benefit from the goodwill of those that shop there.
Other than deleting those that are on gnu group land, there isn't much I can do.

Jedi are supposed to be honorable... But I do say this with some seriousness. I often see the likes of Kyron Drago and others working in the sandboxes... Pirkko, if that's the case, you should IM Ralph Saito and ask him about this. In the grand scheme of things, L$20 isn't a big deal but how one behaves when it comes to this kind of situation is.

Sigh, so much for my idea of putting up a donation box for the Homeless Cherub Foundation.

We had someone doing that in Phobos last month or so. Placed them all over - in places where the real owner might place them.

Yeah theres one at the Historical Museum in Phobos that someone copied from the one on display (which I leave copyable on purpose) and put one out. Since I don't have return ability for that land, I just plopped a white cube over it, sadly though I'm unsure of how many people may have accidently paid it.
Just always be sure who you're paying is who you mean to pay.
