How about those monkeys with the skeleton fingers from Madagascar? I forget the name exactly, but people think they're really really creepy and evil creatures. Which has led to their being endangered in addition to the habitat deforestation problem.

Nergal, those are called aye-ayes and they are lemurs! Lemurs are everywhere! If you have a line they will cross it.
