Check this out... I just noticed it from the SL web site: From: someone Give your friends of a taste of Second Life with a free Second Life CD. Each CD contains a PC and Mac installer and a brief intro to Second Life -- everything one needs to take a trial.
Simply email refer@secondlife.com with your NAME, FULL ADDRESS and IN-WORLD NAME and we'll send you 10 custom CDs to tantalize your friends with.
Great idea, but here's my question. I'd wait on the request until a point release is OFFICIALLY ready to go. Otherwise, the person will install, and have to download a whole new program right away! Has anyone tried this out yet? Any good stories? What do the CDs look like? Regards, -Flip
