This phrase could just as well be construed to pour water on *your* mill.

I read that, and I say to myself: I'm certainly not going to be discouraged in expressing my mind about certain represensible patterns of behavior and attitudes of minorities of people in the game in -- yes -- groups.

If the groups don't exist, then that shouldn't be a crime in any event.

But if they do exist, or if there is a fairly substantial evidence that patterns of behaviour exist for some people some of the time, then they merit discussion and are a legitimate topic.

The idea that it is "small-minded" to talk about how people behave in society doesn't fly with me. It's sociology, it's anthropology, it's psychology, it's culturology -- whatever it is, it's legitimate, and is about ideas, because even the most abstract idea still somehow relate to the people who think them.

I quite agree that personalizing a critique, singling out, going out of the way to expose with intent to harass -- these are all legitimate prey for forum moderators. On the other hand, sometimes all you have to do is cut and paste to make a statement, not about an individual, not about a group, but about society in general and the difficulties it faces in evolving.
