Now, i'm normally not one to complain, but, I think this is a bit ridiculous. There is a plot in the winter holiday sims, that is set for sale, and has a for sale sign on it. Now, I normally don't care about those for sale signs, but in a sim that is used for holiday builds, I don't think it's right. I'm pretty sure (don't quote me on this) that people can't set that land for sale, because they really don't own the land, and therefore technically, they shouldn't be able to sell it. Granted, it might be a joke, but I think it's a joke in bad taste. The sims are supposed to be used for sculptures and builds, and setting a plot to for sale with a for sale sign on it is a bad joke. My major concern is that some unsuspecting newbie will buy the plot, then, after the sim has changed back to Linden land will end up being upset (yes, I know the price for it is ridiculous, but you'd be surprised about what some people would do if they were desperate). If the person does do something different with the plot later, then i'm fine with it, but at least set it up for someone you know to be the only one to buy from, so someone doesn't end up getting screwed over. But if all your doing is trying to make a statement, then perhaps you should consider giving the plot to someone else, someone who will use it for what it's been set aside for, rather than using it for attention.

Thanks for the notice. This land is no longer set for sale to the public.

Perhaps it's a comment on the commercialism of christmas.

"User-created content takes the idea of leveraging player opinions a step further by allowing them to effectively prototype new ideas and features. Developers can then measure which new concepts most improve the products and incorporate them into the game in future patches." |
