I set this up so say bye to people who have decided they can't move into the released version of SL. If you aren't going to move in for any reason, post it here and we will say goodbye to you. Hopefully not forever ;)

Man I'd hate to see you leave, a question for the Lindens you should ask is, if you pay monthly for a few months can you then upgrade to lifer status at the Beta rates? Then you would have more time to save up.

I'm afraid the beta discounts will only be available for converted accounts set up by the 23rd. However, if you choose either the 90 day or annual memberships, the discounted charter rate will be recurring (in other words, you keep the beta discount).

It don't look promising for me and Lyn......

Kinda upsetting, one household 2 accts over $300 by the 23rd.

Heck I doubt the 1 acct rate will be doable. So if no miracles happen its by seeya :-( will miss everyone. Even the ones who didnt like me or I didnt talk to much I'll miss ya too.

I won't post names but there are a few that will be greatly missed. I read posts over time that people mentioned that this was more than a game to them. It was something bigger.

Ironically thinking of not being here or being able to be here has made me think.

WOW LL you did a great job here. I have never been so attached to anything on my computer let alone a game online or not. It is a much different feeling then I've seen written about how people obsess over EverQuest. This feels personal.

Anyway, if I don't make it through the gates, maybe things will happen that will allow me to sign back on in the future, but of course under a different name which would stink.

I'd have to create a Charlie Omega title as a group title if/when that happens lol.

I'm really trying too, but as of now, it doesn't look too good :( I was really hoping there would be other payment options, but as i don't have a credit card.....and really don't have that kind of money, looks like i'm going to have to say bye bye.

I'm still trying though!!!!!!

I just wanted to say also, that i've enjoyed my time here so so much and i've met so many nice people. The Lindens are especially so so great, you all are really something for other game admins to strive for.

Thanks for letting me be a part of beta (in the case i can't stay on)

Thanks!

Wow I didnt realize so many regulars were leaving. I am gonna really miss you guys,. I know I didnt really talked to you, but your names were always familar at events, or just because of what you built. - Aurelie ,Charlie, Dionysus

It stinks.

Charlie I can totaly understand that two accounts thing, that is ALOT of money! But its kind of understandable because if it werent like that people would have two accounts to get money from, ect ect.

You could always come back annoymously and tell people you know like kerstin has done haha.

Hopefully you can still post on the msg board like you posted somewhere else on here.

I really wish it woudl still be beta so we could all be here free hahahahaha :(

I'm curious about something. I completely understand being unable to afford to continue, but I'm wondering, how are you getting broadband Internet access? Are you a student and getting it free on campus? Living at home and your parents pay for it? Or some other way?

Right now I'm paying $50/month for broadband, and it's taken me a long time to reach a point where I could afford it. (It still seems outrageous to me.) Are other people paying much less?

Mines just a matter of too little cash flow and defective PC parts.

I've got plenty of cash flow... it's just flowing the wrong direction.

I'm not saying my goodbyes just yet tho, folks. Oh no, it's not THAT easy to get rid of me! It's not over til the weight-challenged lady sings =)

UPDATE:

I guess I will be staying lol, Lyn won't let us quit :-)
She says she'll be dammed that we will be forced to leave the place we met on, and the place that allows us to relax and enjoy the escape from RL bs.

Thats why I like her, she is my stubborn bullheaded Leo lol.
