We do request that you bring some sort of proof that you do indeed come from the future, and haven't just dressed like you do. We welcome any sort of proof, but things like a cure for AIDS or cancer, a solution for global poverty, or a cold fusion reactor would be particularly convincing as well as greatly appreciated.

Yes, I am from the future. I have already been to this and the next 38 conventions and come back to tell the rest of you not to bother, it sucked!!!! But TY for the info.  And wow Neph... you actually read that!!!! I see that they are asking for donations on the bottom. If they are from the future then why would they do this. Just ask the ones that they KNOW are going to give and forget the rest. Think of the advertising savings!!!

Man, I went to the 2007 convention a few years back...Whatta party! First, we blinked back to the '20s and partied with Capone, then we partied with some Turks in Toledo! then we stole an American F-55 Starbolt from 2120 A.D. and drunkenly pwned the Blitzkrieg!
Of course, the time cops showed up and erased all of our fun works afterwards, and gave us all 150 years for possible timeline corruption (which we blinked down to 10 1/2 minutes once the coast was clear).

I've been told by my future friend to apologise that his self from 2038 couldn't make it.. and he also apologises for his 2053 self being a bit drunk.
Wouldn't it make more sense to only publicise the event afterwards? That way you'd know whether your pblicity and advertising was going to work in advance, which could save a lot of money, and wouldn't put you at a disadvantage in letting future people know anyway.

if may 7 comes and goes and you're not at the convention it means you'll never be at the convention because if you ever were going to be at the convention your future self would have already been there and therefore you will never in the future go back in time to be at the convention. clear?
also some people are missing the point. there's only ever going to be one time traveller convention because no matter what year it is you can always go to the year the convention is. if you want to go multiple times just go ahead and go and you can party with your past and future selves.
the only problem is there already has been an official time traveller convention so nobody's going to show up at this one. the original was the best anyways even if the time police ended up busting everybody after a prank went bad. everybody still got a big bang out of it.
