Recently, a disgruntled former member(s) of Slate decided to remove everything in the Slater New Player Welcoming Center.
In our "oh well" fashion, we went back to work to replace these items, and have done just that. With one small xeption, it's actually better then before.
This time, instead of using cabinets to keeo everyting in, there are shelveds that fo around the whole of the second floor. This allows us to have many more items, and room for many more items if we want.
If you care to visit the New Player Welcome the new Player Wlecoming Center, please feel free to do so. Unfortunately, the exact coorninattes escape me, but when you get to slate, look for the ROUND building in the Northeast section of the SIM.
Also, if you have items you would like to donate to the free give away, feel free to drop it on a shelf. Please emember it must be free, and something a player that would have need of, or have fun with.
Thanks!

Bob,
Can you describe for me the types of things that you offer Newbies in your Welcoming Center? I am writing an article for SL Magazine and I am listing all of the places that I can find where new people can get free and inexpensive items and also where they can get places to stay.
Also, are you listed in places and which SIM are you on?
Thanks,
Rose

Hi Rose!
The Slate New Player Welcoming Center is in SLATE. The Slate Community group currently owns over 95% of the SIM, and therefore, we are just called Slate.
As for what kind of things that are there, the list is too many to mention. Might I suggest you take a teleport ride to Slate and take a look for yourself. While you are there, tke a look around the whole area of slate, and see if you find anything there that might interest you.
Thanks!
