Professional Directory - SL Yellow pages

Here's a thought. Everyones always looking for someone to help them with something somewhere at some time or another.

So how do I find these movers and shakers and let people know I'mma ass shaker too?

Why not a directory of some kind? So many brilliant and talented individuals here and sometimges you gotta post all over the place and pray a Chip or Cristiano or Francis or Nephelaine or.............. To jump in and straighten us out.

So in the intrest of making a usefull thread here I'll give an example that could be as simple as:

Joe Shmuckatelly - Animator Extrodinaire

I do custom animations for chimps only.

Skillz: Poser (expert)
Texturing (intermediate)
Scripting (novice)

I have a store in Dante's Inferno 13,666

contact me by.... IM, email, whatever


You may even want to put items of intrest that you have created ie.. Seburos, Animation Overrider, "the can can dance", you get the idea.

This would be a good way for people to find specific help from those how are most knowledgeable on the subject.

This is meant to be a serious and usefull thread so, if we could, refrain from the "I'mma professional ass clown, sheep fucker, thread troll........" I know it's hard to resist, I can barely contain myself, but I am asking nicely so that we can help some people out here.

P.S. Not pickin on anyone but this idea came to me already with people in mind like say, Chip Midnight and Cristiano Midnight (both animators if I'm correct), Francis Chung (scriptress), Nephelaine Protagonist (texture assassin) and way to many more for me to list.

Only thing, how does one know this exists? And I even know of more people in different catigories then are actually listed.

Figure this is the fastest, easiest way, specially for noobs to check you out.

I love the setup and I will do whatever I can to redirect people to it also!!! This is by no means a compitition This is gettin it out there as many ways possible to help save some people frustration. Is that cool. If Adam objects, just let me know and I'll kill the thread, but I think it will help him as well. See, this is the first I've heard of it and I'm sure there are others still unaware. Till now

There is also the Avatar Central directory, which is still under development - http://www.sluniverse.com/avatarcentral/ .

I'm in the process of updating the trade/services directory to a new version, which is accessible on the main secondserver.net page. (currently registered users only, since it's in beta), but it will allow you to edit your entries, and have improved searching & mapping.
