Anyone Care to Wallow with Me?

Well after discovering the death of snap to grid. I decided I was going to drown my pain in some nice Buffy streaming videos. The Lindens giveth and the Lindens taketh away. Well the problem is, its not like people all over the internet are randomly streaming Buffy for me, but that's okay, I was planning on streaming it myself from my computer. Use up some of that bandwith the school wastes on me. The problem is I CAN'T GET A SINGLE STREAMING SERVER TO WORK WITH SL. /cry /cry /weep /weep /wallow /wallow *puts on her pity party hat*

What are you talking about? Snap to grid is still there, you just have to click the triangular plane tools now.

It's April 1st? I must have missed the day change from the hours of pain I have gone through trying to figure out streaming video.

1. Place the URL for your video stream on your parcel.
2. Choose a texture to display the video on. Place it on whatever prim you want to display it on.
3. Grab one of the ready-to-use touch-to-play scripts and place it in the screen's prim.
4. Select this texture in your About Land options for Media.
5. Touch the screen to start, then hit "align texture" on the prim's edit window -> Textures.

6. Advanced users can take a ready-to-use set of scripts for all the buttons, and link them accordingly, or even use an out of the box video screen.

No, not that part. I got that part. *I* was trying to set up a streaming server so the URL we are speaking of would be mine and everyone could watch Buffy.
