Support for Robin Linden Thread

Although I'm frequently in and out of the SL "can", and frequently penalized by Robin for going "over the top", I recognize the fact she has a difficult job.

Robin, my hat is off to you!

Had you bothered to read the forums, there is a sticky that asks you to refrain from naming names. Part of the reason this got put there is because of a thread which was started just like this one with Jeska Linden in the title and the focus of the poll. It was deleted outright, despite being very much a positive endorsement of Jeska and her difficult role.

Or to put it another way, you're now risking another warning.

i thought the sticky resulted from the don't trust $USER thread posted by $BARON about the public land in $SIM.

But yesterday Eggy started a thread called the Jeska Linden Sucks-Rules-Ometer (or near as dammit) and it was deleted in its entirety. It was actually a very positive thread, and obviously meant in affection and humor. We were a bit surprised it was pulled, but I guess it was perhaps a reinforcement of the no naming names rule.

i didn't see the $EGGY thread. well obviously. the one i'm referring to was also entirely deleted first thing yesterday morning. i guess we're just getting a bit too fiesty all around.

Well there was that thread on $DATE where $POSTER posted on $SUBJECT in the $FORUM forum. It wasn't until $RESPONDANT replied with the now famous $QUOTE that people realised it wasn't about $SUBJECT at all, but was just a ruse to get us talking about $OTHER_SUBJECT.

From that point, it wasn't long before $MODERATOR moved the post to $OTHER_FORUM and I'd not be surprised if both $POSTER and $RESPONDANT were warned or even suspended. And the personal attacks by $PERSON on $OTHER_PEOPLE were downright shameful... I wasn't even aware that it was possible to $DESCRIPTION without at least three helpers and a safety net anyway...

I think we all owe Robin a hug for doing such a good job as a mod.

As an avid poster on another, unmoderated forum (okaygood.com, makes SL forums look like a pre-school), and I'm used to seeing people get by with alot. But SL isn't okaygood. It's the board for a company. And a company has an image to uphold. Etc, etc. You get what I'm saying.
