If you look at the announcements, Philip made a post, saying they ARE working, and they hope to get the new parts and speed up the loading in a few hours, but it could be 1/1 before it happens. They are staying there to work on it. They didn't HAVE to spend their New Years in the office working on it. I've playied many other games where the DEVs will work their normaly hours and leave, even if its a major problem. The Lindens will fix it. They are not a fault here, no one is perfect.

thanks for that ... I was a little confused with the downtime yesterday and I am quite new to forums so wasn't sure if some of the posts were relating to today (new years eve) or yesterdays downtime.
