I would like to put together a list of all currently available resources for users interested in voice chatting in SL. I have the following: Teamspeak Servers: SLTC (unsure of address - site has been up/down over the past few months) SLUniverse TS Server(sluniverse.serverroom.us:8877) Skype MSN Messenger - (allows voice chat conferences or one on one) Yahoo (allows voice chat conferences or one on one) I know there are a couple of SL Ventrillo servers - any info on those, and any other resources would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What ever happened to Second Voice? That was pretty cool.

Does Skype + SL do a good thing? Are there folks who USE Skype in SL? And how do they advertise this fact?
Would be nice if there were some way to integrate people into voice chat based on local AV's.
Hmm. I'll work on it.

I use Skype all the time while in SL. Skype seems rather processor-dependent, however; loading times or movbing into a new Sim tends to make Skype skip a lot.

LF I find the same to be true of YIM. YIM seems to be a memory hog, too. SL and YIM seem to play well together provided that you don't travel around much in SL. Otherwise, client lag can be horrendous.

I use YIM with no problems. Never skips on me ever. I've been, for the most part, very pleased with YIM. I would, however, would like to know if many people use SecondVoice to decide if it's worth it to buy it.

Paltalk my also be an alternative. Some friends and I used it with Palace. We would go into Palace for our avatar and text chat.. then open Paltalk and go into a room and then simply place the Palace window on top. Press the CTRL to speak in Paltalk and never "see" the Paltalk room..
