i'll be hornswaggled. i just flew through new albion for the first time in several months.

i was struck silly by the fact that it actually looks like a downtown area. each burrough even has a distinctive look and feel.

very well done people. it's been a while coming, but the place seems to be a real hubub of architectural, artistic, commercial, experimental, religious, and residential activity.

Should also check out Hank Ramos' living city project, it's in Phobos, very difficult to miss (size of nearly two sims)

Lordfly, Marcos and Salazar have alot to do with that.. there are others too like Tiger who made a central park type place in Miramare with a huge rink in it. Marcos and Cybin have also allowed some newer people like Barnsworth and me to flex some creative muscles on their city land which has been fun.

Oh! And I should thank Taylor Thomson for renting me her land in Grignano for my store.

Thanks Khamon.

There are a few of us in the City who are slowly but surely picking up parcels and trying to give the area a cohesive look. The biggest detriment to the City looking like a city are the plots that aren't "with the program".

There are random plots here and there owned by people who apparently don't log into SL at all anymore. Some of them may be yearly accounts that will simply expire in another few months. Hopefully we can get some more active participants into those plots who will also contribute.

I do enjoy the difference in style between Miramare and Grignano. Miramare has a sort of slick modern look to it, while Grignano has many brick structures that give it more of an "old downtown" feeling.

Feel free to stop by the Space Needle next time you're flying through and hang out in the Lounge. Great views of Nova Albion! :)
