Bluntly STFU about the value of the Linden

Yes the value of the Linden has dropped... alot. Panic and finger pointing won't fix it.

The constant panic headlines WILL continue to adversely affect the market as people lose confidence based on "what people are saying" and bail out. Just like in RL.

High ticket and "must have" item are what fueled the exchange rate. (land and sex animations to list two).

Land control is all Lindens. When scarce, pricier land benefits them, we will have it back.

Otherwise, either buy or create stuff people want.

All this endless bitching does is aggrevate the hell out the people who are trying to do positive things.

Surreal

so... low land prices.... does this mean Developers can jack prices up and become the "Retail Barons"? It's for a good cause, it will bring value back to the L$

Do your part buy our stuff!

I could put an eavesdropping, spamming, land-scaninng particle emitter next to prominent telehubs. Maybe that would change the subject of today's drama :)

If you are stressed and worried about the SL economy, why not try some simple relaxation techniques, such as building lovely builds to enhance the beauty of SL, have a fun and mellow party with some of your SL friends, go out and make some SL friends, make some goofy or great little items and give them away for free, host a charity event, explore a Sim you've never been to, display bizarre or humorous behavior, plan an assault on Jessie, get a motorcycle gang together and terrorize the streets of SL, or have sex with sheep?

It doesn't HAVE to be all about money...

Go to Siggy's land and leave tons of mature content items on it since he needs something to make him laugh when he gets back in game!

Seeing my land is PG (TABER - right next to the Village - Arabian looking place being rebuilt)

I'm sure *I'LL* get a laugh (seeing how the Thrusto Lab is 300m up over it)... my neighbours may not find it so amusing though :)

I'll be back in December - after the post election ratings period and I get a few more bits of RL in order..

Siggy.

I love you Surreal...

My advice to those spazzing about the $L dropping... If you can't afford to lose it, don't 'invest' (read: gamble) it. Take that as gospel from someone who lives in Las Vegas.

Thank you all who do not flip if you investment goes belly up for a bit. Remember folks this is a new world. We will see an ebb and flow in the market. In a few years it will be different. The scabs will be weeded out, and the true residents will rise like cream on the top of a churn. Everyone complains about land barrons, who does this little dip hurt but them. Chill, have fun on your land, enjoy creating and most importantly live.

If you are worried that the chunk of poo land you bought will not turn profit, try building. If you cannot build try to find someone who can and let them develop your land. Or try photoshop, event planning, hosting...and if all else fails there are plenty of clubs that are looking.....but in the end have fun. That is what this is all about for now.

There's a university up here called Simon Fraser University -- SFU for short. I have not seen a photoshopped image parodying it as "SFTU University"... yet.

Can someone expain why this is a bad thing? I would have thought more people will be able to buy land at a good price and have money left over to spend on clothes or vehicles or whatever they need.

I can only see it as being good. I know the land barons may squeal a bit but hey what goes up must come down. They've made a good profit on selling land at high cost, now everyone can afford to buy the land directly from the auctions. What am I missing?
