I had a couple people ask about my stuff for sale “ DoC isn’t your stuff transferable?” ummmm yes….from what I see, everything in a vender i.e. “contents for sale” is showing up as No copy, No Mod., No Transfer when you look at the contents, when in fact, the actual contents may allow this. All my stuff is transferable and 99% of it mod.even when it’s saying it isn’t. When I look at my sale items, I see them correct. When you look at them you see it as No copy, No Mod., No Trans. I looked at over 20 different vendors and everyone’s is like this from what I can see.
If im wrong, someone let me know… p.s…I sent a bug report.

DoC You are not at all wrong. Items in objects now display in the inventory list the current permissions they have for the VIEWER. If the item is in YOUR object, then other people do not have permissions on them at all - so they see that. IF you are peeking into inventory to determine an item's permission for future owners, the best thing to do is to right click, hit properties and view the "Next Owner" permissions - i.e., "Next Owner Can: ..."

I've seen this happen to objects I put in vendors as well, they should be copiable but then the copy flag gets taken off. I have also had copy+mod stuff given to me by others and then found that after I modified them and took them into inventory (specifically, edited a script), they show up as nocopy.

No, you're not going nuts. It wasn't like this before the update, because items in another object's inventory did not have their copy permissions viewable just from the list. Now when you look at an object's inventory, you see it say "Object Name (no copy) (no modify) (no transfer)" just like you do in your own personal inventory. And that's where the confusion is coming from. People seem to expect it to show the appropriate permissions for THEM as the NEXT OWNER while it is in YOUR object's inventory - and it doesn't. It shows their own CURRENT permissions - and it being YOUR items, technically, still, they have none as of that moment. When it changes hands and actually is their object or item, they will see the right permissions reflected in their own inventories.

It is still frustrating because people do NOT stop and right click the contents of a box to check permissions. I know the family business of prefab houses and all perms textures is suffering badly.
People either assume everything is no perms and don't buy, or they flood our IMs with questions.
