I was just wondering if this has happened to someone else or it's just happening over here. For the past few days some sites seem to be redirected to a site named Med Network and some other sites have had their ad banners replaced to said site. I tried to log in to the SL Exchange site and this happened to me (see screen shot attachment below). Has this happened to anyone else?

Kats,

Spyware in your PC is a definite possibility. Looks like they are hijacking your browser.

I recommend you download and install Spybot and run a full scan at your earliest convenience...

It doesn't seem to be spyware since it has happened to other people here in Puerto Rico and it's not all sites that this happens to, just some specific ones. I have many programs installed in my pc (Giant Antispyware, Ad Aware, Spybot, Spyware Blaster). It looks like someone hacked into the DNS servers for our ISP. Me and my SigOther are going to try and use an alternative DNS server to see if that fixes the problem.

Thank you for your reply anyway. My first suspicion was also spyware, since those suckers seem to find a way to sneak into my pc even if I have all those programs. The last time it happened was the one time I used Internet Explorer. That was definitely the last time I will use it. :)

Yes, you are probably right!

Here are a couple of name servers I use in case you want to try them:

63.240.76.4
204.127.198.4

Muchos saludos a la Isla del Encanto! :)

You might want to take a quick check of your hosts file as well. I've seen a few baddy programs that like to hijack it. If you are running XP, open up:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts in notepad and make sure that it is empty (other then the comment lines denoted with a #)
