Oddly enough the Proposal page showed more information when there was not a form, than now when there is.

https://secondlife.com/partner/

So my suggestion is to put technical details (like there should be) about what exactly happens.

Do the last names change?

Do land assets transfer over?

What about land tiers?

Can partners edit eachothers objects?

What exactly happens when you divorce?

Or were all those plans scrapped and just the Partner box changes on your profile?

I agree, my husband and I had to create an alt to form a group in order to co-own land that can be editied by both of us. What benefits exactly does a partnership provide?

I do wonder... if any of these joint benefits could be included as OPTIONS to check off next to the proposal form... or even some sort of SL prenuptial agreement. I feel it may likely get to this stage anyhow... with relationships that last far longer than a few weeks, in any case. ;)

I think it is so romantic to go:

"Oh, look, we're married now... we can edit each other's objects now!"

and the happy couple goes to build a home together with a big, three-humped heart on top of it. Awww. :D

Other than the L$10 marriage fee, and the L$25 divorce fee, I dont see any changes. Am I missing something?

Oh god, can you think of the LEGAL ramifications of someone accepting a proposal, the edit flag being on, and them claiming not have noticed the flag once their partner finds out they were cheating on them and then ends up b0rking all their builds?

No, better to leave the edit my objects thing where it is. Calling cards.

holy cats!
It costs MONEY for them to add your little name thing up there in the window??
Why don't they just make it FREE & LET US DO IT OURSELVES? :o

I mean, the other person can get a little note saying "person X wants to add you as partner. y/n?"

============
Oh, whew, nm, I thought it was ten REAL dollars.

On another note... can you marry more than one person? :x

I have been waiting patiently for the full partner system to be implemented as offered by Lindens some months ago. The biggy for me was the ability to have a land group of two so we can share the same land without a third person. I even asked a question for the last town hall meeting but it didnt get asked. If any Lindens are reading this can you advise if it is going to happen any time soon????
