There. I did it.
After seeing the pictures from the self-promotional contest by Francis Chung, I decided that the same love of contests could be channeled into a non-profit, community-supporting venture.
I am offering $24000L of my own money as a developer bonus not based on dwell - with categories for both building and scripting.
I'm hoping this contest will serve as an example that richer players can give back to the community and reward developers without having to own a lot of land.

Avalon and sapcethinkdream.com did this ages ago, offered five different 20,000L$ prizes. It was hardly taken on I'm hoping the growth in the population of SL will lend to a better pool. SL's probably 10x as large. _____________________

SLUniverse.com has a forthcoming contest/awards feature as part of the site relaunch that will include over 100k in prize money for awards for various categories. I am all for the community rewarding itself - we have grown large enough that there is an ongoing need for this.
