Okay, I've been having this problem for a long time now, and I'm pretty sure others have too. Whenever I want to sign on to this website, I have to type in my information quite a few times:

Douglas Callahan

**********

Then hit enter, and it reloads the page, sometimes keeping my name information, so I only have to enter my password, sometimes not.

Other times when I come to the site, all I do is click member login, and boom, opens right to the community page. However, when I want to change pages, especially to My Account, I have to log in 1 to 5 times. Then again, when I click transaction history, yet another bundle. In, transaction history, I want to go to an earlier date, so I click Earlier, and guess what I get. Only now I continue to enter my information and the page keeps resetting. After 15 trys, I give up and go the forums. Luckily enough, no login to get here.

What is the deal with this? It is quite obnoxious (especially when posting a last minute event :p ). I have gone along with this long enough, but its been probably at least three months since it began, and I'm voicing my complaint. I hope I'm not alone on this one.

So what do you think? Do the Lindens know about this, but are ignoring it? Or has noone else complained yet because they are all like me, thinking that someone else will complain :D . I'm hoping its the latter option.

I love Second Life, but I think this is one bug that needs to get fixed.

pls see my post in the linden hotline, regarding SL ISP

maybe, just maybe, this might be happening with you too, and maybe, that might be the cause of your probs? It is the cause of mine.

Sorry can't be of any more help.

Naah, Douglas is right.

This site is a huge pain in ass to log into. Always.

It does something that no other site I know does. Not even my bank. Not even, I dunno, some password-protected paid-news site. Or any site I know of, anywhere.

What is does is make you log on TWICE if not THREE TIMES in the course of one log-on sessions.

You come to the site, even with cookies enabled. You know cookies ARE enabled. And what it does is tells you your avatar name. Thank you.

So you click on "My Account" hoping to get your transaction history or payment history.

It asks you for your log-in name and password. OK, well, fair enough, you had cookies, it logged you in with your avatar name, but then, ok, it asked for another layer of protection to prevent, I dunno, password theft?

So you type your log in name and password.

AND IT IS NOT ENOUGH

and it asks for you to do it AGAIN.

So it is twice, or often three times, you must type inyour name and password.

That is definitely one too many times.

I have this experience all the time, and I just figure it has to do with the really closed nature of SL, that is refuses to greet its customers and let them log into their pages with a cookie enabled, but makes then jump through hoops three times.

I did the cookie thing...with no luck. Still logging in whenever I go to transaction history, and then logging in again... and again.
