There are lot's of wild pictures of beer crystals taken with an electron microscope. They look like colorful abstract art. They have tons of other categories too including cocktails, integrated circuits and dinosaur bones.

They did do some things to make them prettier like freeze it to make the crystals and shoot polarized light through it. And quite a few other things too, though not things like manipulating the image in photoshop to make a section look nicer.
