Alot of people come here because they think they can make a wad of RL money from playing this game.
I know about 4 people that came to play and ended up just playing to make money.
Is that valule of LD really worth playing all day and night?

Just chirous to know what people think. :)

it gets more complicated than even that, I swear there are AI's posing as people in avatars making money for gangs of grad students in secret university labs....

but yeah, to each his own, you can have fun making money and making money is fun. I prefer to be a vampire lesbian artist but our own lovable Prok is a businessman and social-engineer, I'm sure we enjoy the game equally.

I think its both for me

Im both, I enjoy sl game, but then again in the end of the day it turns into a business, i rarely have any time for myself in sl, but the question is "is it worth it", and yes it is...

SL is a place where i can have fun and show my artistic talents, and make a lil cash here and there.. :)

Is the web for business or entertainment? Both... same applies for the 3D Web.

Some might disagree with my thoughts, and that is their right :) I see this as a game... nothing more, nothing less. As long as I can log in, meet new friends, visit old friends, feel like I am in a community, and play around with my land I will be happy and keep playing.

I do not make clothes, I do not make prims for sale (not good enough), and I have no income in SL other then what LL pays me weekly. I still have fun every day I log in though:)

I'd looked for the right term for what SL was for me for a long time - I had settled on it being a game, but that wasn't quite right.

Kris Ritter managed to sum up exactly what it was for me on another post.

For me it's like a big ass lego set, and I dig playing with it.. The whole money side of things is just a lil wedge of pie on the side - I was here before that all came about, and if it vanished tomorrow I'd still be here playing with my blocks.

Siggy.
